At Amerail Systems we pay close attention to new trends that emerge in our industry (a constant practice in any renovation companies strategy). Another constant for renovation companies and hotel renovation companies alike is the release of Pantones Color of the Year.
According to Pantone.com a color of the year is thoughtfully planned by analyzing trends and color influences around the world which includes everything from films in production & fashion to socio-economic conditions & even technology. After a color is released it influences the world around it, for example: home furnishings, industrial design, fashion, etc. (You can read more about how Pantone chooses their color of the year at Pantone.com)
This release gives us in the hotel renovation industry insight into what we may see in the coming years for hotel design based off of the color itself, the colors around it and also the thoughts/feelings behind it. Since Pantone began releasing a color of the year over 20 years ago, other companies (mainly in the painting and wallpaper industry) have also began revealing what their colors of the year are.
For example, aside from Pantones reveal there were 16 other colors of the year released for 2020 from popular paint companies (this includes not 1 but 12 from Valspar).
All 17 colors for 2020 were thoughtfully chosen and an accurate depiction of what we will see in 2020 but there are a few that stand out to us among the rest.
Our favorites for 2020
Our favorite shades are based off of the relationship between what the colors represent and what Amerail Systems values most.
Classic Blue 19-4052 from Pantone
Pantone released their 2020 color of the year (COTY) last week on December 4th 2019. Pantone's color: Classic Blue 19-4052 (pictured above) was one of our favorites here at Amerail Systems because of the resemblance to our very own blue.
Here we have the shade pictured next to a complete window replacement job at the Crowne Plaza in Burlingame, California completed by Amerail Systems. This project is next to Classic Blue because of the clarity & dependability that the windows show and represent as well as presenting the scope of work we provide. During this project the windows provided the Crowne Plaza with a more energy efficient building as well as helped with preventing the noise from a nearby highway reach its guests.

Classic blue is described by Pantone as calm and confident, highlighting the desire for dependability and offering refuge while fostering resilience & clarity.
Classic Blue according to Pantone is what Amerail aims to be to our clients
Much like Classic Blue, at Amerail Systems we are confident in our work, dependable and resilient.

Naval SW 6244 from Sherwin Williams
Our exclusive paint provider here at Amerail for hotel renovation projects (Sherwin Williams) revealed their color of the year in late September. Another blue: Naval SW 6244 (pictured above) was released September 23rd, 2019.
In the image above we have Naval next to an exterior renovation for Best Western in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We chose to use these two together to show how well the darker & lighter shades contrast on hotel exteriors, drawing the attention of travelers.
Naval represents a lot to Sherwin Williams and for 2020: change for the better, empowerment, confidence, and biophilia or the interaction with nature (which will be present in design trends throughout 2020).
At Amerail Systems we hope to get to our best selves ever in 2020 while empowering our clients to do the same through top of the line exterior hotel renovation.

Secret Moss 5005-2A from Valspar
(1/12 Valspar 2020 Colors of the Year)
Valspar had too many trend setting colors to pick just one Color of the Year for 2020 so they decided to stray from the path and release 12. Out of the 12 colors released, Secret Moss 5005-2A (pictured above) is one of our favorites.
In the image above we have the shade pictured next to an the complete exterior renovation of the Hampton Inn in Monroeville, PA that Amerail Systems completed in October of this year (2019). Pictured together because of the relationship between the hues and the incorporation of natural elements on the hotel which we will be seeing more of in 2020.
According to lowes.askval.com Secret Moss represents authentic quality or authenticity and quality. At Amerail Systems we are authentic to our brand by providing the highest quality exterior hotel renovation possible.
